"The Jakarta Provincial Government supports this campaign and commemorates the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children. Violence against anyone is unacceptable and will not be tolerated, especially against women and children," he emphasized, Wednesday (11/26).
Marullah symbolically attached and distributed a number of stickers to Jakarta residents at Transjakarta bus stops and buses, along the route from the HI Roundabout to Jakarta City Hall as the support of this campaign.
The stickers distributed contain important information to make it easier for the public to access complaint services if they witness, know about, or experience acts of violence.
The Jakarta Provincial Government, he continued, also provides a free hotline service for the public to facilitate access to services for reporting violence.
"There are many of our staff and ranks who will provide services free of charge," he added.
Marullah also emphasized the importance of collaboration involving various parties such as religious institutions, cultural institutions, community leaders, and others.
Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Children Empowerment, Protection and Population Handling Agency, Iin Mutmainnah, stated the government is present to protect women and children from all forms of violence.
This effort involves various elements from the central government to regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), including through public education through a positive campaign being implemented today.
"The government is present to protect women and children from violence. We work together and collaborate with many parties," she stated.
The Jakarta Provincial Government has also prepared various complaint channels. These include the 24-hour Hotline for the Women and Children Protection Center at 081317617622, the Jakarta Siaga 112 Call Center, 44 Women and Children's Friend Posts (SAPA) available at RPTRAs, and the Family Service Center (PUSPA) consultation service website, which can be accessed through the website puspa.jakarta.go.id.
"We are ready to work together with all components, with regional working units and also with all related agencies to jointly protect women and children in Jakarta," she said.
As for information, Jakarta Provincial Government through PPAPP Agency held an activity of pasting and distributing anti-violence stickers with the theme "Together Creating Safe Spaces for Women and Children," at Transjakarta bus stops and fleets throughout the Jakarta area today.
